HI. I'M MIKE OLIVELLA. LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF....

I'm based in Tallahassee, Florida, a college town surrounded by hills, woods, and canopy roads. It's a peaceful place to live and I love it.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the photo on the the left speaks volumes about me and the lengths to which I'll go to get a shot.

I've been a photographer since 1973 and I still get goose bumps every time I shoot my first football game of the season. I also pinch myself when I'm shooting in an iconic sports venue like Madison Square Garden or Soldier Field wondering how I got so lucky to work inside the bowels of places that I could only dream of visiting when I was a kid.

My biggest thrill as a photographer is transforming an ordinary object or scene into an image that makes the viewer think, "Wow".

I've had the privilege of learning from industry giants like Joe McNally, Moose Peterson, and Dave Black, as well as other photographers whose work I greatly admire. 

I'm a sports photographer who is equally comfortable shooting a model portfolio, crawling through the woods to capture a pair of grizzlies, or spending all night in my observatory imaging nebulas and galaxies.

I'm grateful to these clients for giving me the chance to work for them. I've also been very fortunate to have had a chance to shoot these sporting events, among others.
